Sneaker Kid, LLC is a confidence-first literacy brand created to help children step boldly into reading and learning. Built by an educator and grounded in classroom experience, Sneaker Kid blends storytelling, social-emotional learning, and engaging student tools to strengthen both reading skills and self-belief.

At the heart of Sneaker Kid is Dr. Sharnez Givens-Williams, an educator, literacy leader, and author with years of experience supporting students who struggled not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked confidence. As a former reading interventionist, Sharnez saw firsthand how fear, self-doubt, and anxiety often stand in the way of literacy growth — and how intentional encouragement can change everything.

That insight led to the creation of Just Jordy Jitters and the Sneaker Kid Step Into Confidence Kits. Each resource is intentionally designed to support reader identity, reduce anxiety around reading, and empower children to believe in their voice as learners.

Sneaker Kid resources complement existing instruction while creating joyful, meaningful literacy experiences at home and in classrooms. We don’t just focus on what children read — we focus on how they feel while reading.
